The story of 'Pygmalion' blends the Greek myth of the sculptor Pygmalion with a modern take about a young woman who is struggling to come to terms with her sexuality when she falls in love with her muse.

The script came from a turbulent time in my life when I was grappling with leaving an abusive relationship, but found support in my close friends from my college figure drawing class.

'Pygmalion' is an immensely person and heartfelt film, and I feel empowered as both a filmmaker and a woman to have been able to share this piece of myself with the world. I am endlessly grateful to my cast and crew for generously volunteering their time and resources to a first-time director.
